Melissa Barrett is a rising senior at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  She is a journalism major with a concentration in sports journalism and a psychology minor.  This is Melissa's first year with the Westerners as the Travel Journalist and she hopes to gain experience as a writer and a media relations member of a baseball team.

Chris Nathanson is a member of the 2012 Class at St. John's University in Queens, New York, with Sports Management as my major. This is his second year interning with the Danbury Westerners. He chose to intern with the Westerners because: being part of a team fits well with his major, they are close to my hometown of Bethel, and he loves baseball.

Matt Mascolo is currently entering his junior year at Allegheny College. His major is Communication Arts with minors in both English and Psychology. He chose to be an intern for the Westerners because he believes it would be a great opportunity to utilize what my major and minors are all about, outside of the classroom.

Ted Linstrum in entering his junior year at Lasell College in Newton Mass. Ted is focusing his studies to business and is our entrepreneurship and marketing intern. He is majoring in entrepreneurship with a minor in math. Ted had played baseball all of his life and chose this intern to help the Westerners with specific business skills he has obtained through college and continue his passion towards baseball.

Haley Nathanson is currently a junior at Immaculate High School and will be graduating in 2011. She is interning for the Westerners because she loves baseball and wants to do more than just watch the sport.

Kailley McGannon attends Joel Barlow  High School and is doing this internship for a new experience. This internship teaches her about responsibility and what it's like working with a team.

Brandon Persichilli graduated from danbury high school in and will be
attending CCSU starting in the fall of 2010. He is interning because it is a great way to help out the Westerners over the summer with the video broadcasting.

Raymond Nunez attends the University of Connecticut and is entering into his sophomore year. Raymond wants to major in Sports Management and is looking to pick up all the experience he can. He believes this internship will help him understand what it takes to manage a sports business.

Olivia Ventricelli  is entering her junior year at Joel Barlow High School. 2012. She is enjoying her internship this summer. She is also busy playing softball this summer.

RJ Roman is entering his senior year at Newtown High School. He is still undecided on what college he will attend. RJ is doing this internship to be around baseball and to see how a baseball team operates. He is interested in writing. He is a pitcher on the Newtown High School varsity.
